Emotional Freedom Therapy explained:
Emotional Freedom Therapy or EFT as it is so commonly called is an incredible tool that has been used for more than 10 years. It assists people in overcoming a wide variety of emotional discomforts as well as some physical issues.
Originally Dr. Roger Callahan created Thought Field Therapy or (TFT) and Gary Craig developed EFT from the underlying concepts. Nowadays, these and other similar therapies are all governed by the Association for Meridian & Energy Therapies and I am now an Advanced Practitioner of Meridian & Energy Therapies.
The use of these techniques is relatively new and could be part of a revolution in the way human beings handle their emotions. In many cases, emotions that have persisted for years can be cleared in a number of minutes or at worst a number of hours. It is hard to believe that such simple techniques can have such a profound effect on a wide variety of discomforts in such a short period of time. EFT does not work on every single issue, but it appears to be 90% effective and most results are permanent. Given that the placebo affect is only 30%, this shows that EFT is indeed a very effective technique.
